Door opens toward camera. He enters frame.

SHAHEER (nervous but polite):
Assalamualaikum… I am here for an interview.

RECEPTIONIST (calm, professional):
Please take a seat.

He nods and walks to the waiting sofa.

SHOT 3 – INTERVIEW ROOM DOOR (STATIC FRAME)
Door suddenly swings open.

A GIRL storms out. Angry. Eyes watery.

She SLAMS the door.

Walks to receptionist.

SMASH! She throws her file onto the desk.

She storms to the main entrance and BANGS it shut.

Silence.

• Shaheer’s tapping foot

• His fingers fidgeting

• Adjusting tie

• Wiping sweat

Ticking gets louder.

Phone rings.

SHOT 5 – RECEPTION DESK

RECEPTIONIST (on phone):
Yes sir… okay sir.

She hangs up.

Looks at him.

RECEPTIONIST:
You may go inside.

He exhales heavily.

Stands up slowly.

SHOT 6 – TRACKING SHOT TOWARD INTERVIEW ROOM
Camera follows beside him.

Heartbeat sound slowly replaces ticking.

He opens the door.

SHOT 7 – FROM BEHIND BOSS’S CHAIR (OVER THE SHOULDER)
Boss facing window. Back to camera.

Shaheer steps in.

SHAHEER:
Assalamualaikum, sir. My CV.

He places file on desk.

Boss turns slightly.

Close-up: coffee stain on CV.

BOSS (coldly):
How unprofessional.

SHAHEER:
Sorry, sir.

He sits.

Boss slowly leans forward.

BOSS:
Did I ask you to sit?

SHAHEER (panicking):
Sorry sir— sorry sir—

He stands abruptly.

BOSS:
So… tell me about yourself.

SHAHEER:

Boss raises hand sharply.

BOSS (shouting):
WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU?

SHAHEER (stammering):
Ahh— because I am hard-working and dedicated—

BOSS (SLAMS TABLE):
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?!

SHAHEER:
Ahh— uh— sir—

Boss suddenly grabs file.

THROWS it at his face.

BOSS (furious):
GET OUT!

SHOT 9 – HALLWAY
Shaheer exits. Door slams.

Silence.

He picks up his file from the floor.

Walks toward washroom.

SHOT 10 – BATHROOM (DIM LIGHT)
He enters.

Slams file onto sink.

Breathing heavily.

Looks into mirror.

Whispering sound begins (distorted, unclear).

Camera tilts slowly down.

A KNIFE lies near sink.

He stares at it.

Picks it up.

Slowly smiles.

Cut to close-up of his eyes.

Whisper grows louder.

SMASH CUT TO BLACK.

CLOCK TICK STOPS.
